Who do you create your art for? What drives your creative process? What factors influence the art you choose to make versus the art you don't make? Our motivations as artists can be complex and ever-changing, but upon examining my own creative process, I discovered that a significant part of why I paint is a desire for love, praise, and recognition. However, seeking validation from others can lead to giving away our power and becoming a prisoner of their opinions. It can also lead to compromising our own internal compass if we rely too heavily on external opinions of what is right and wrong. The key to creating art that is personal, inspiring, sustainable, and beautiful is to empower ourselves by filling ourselves up. As we fill ourselves up, we become better equipped to create art that is truly authentic and meaningful, and in turn, inspire others to do the same. Comments are closed.

This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
