My most challenging commission panting to date! How else are we to grow if we remain within the preconceived boundaries we have created for ourselves? We miss 100% of the shots we don’t take. BEFORE & AFTER Dining Room Transformation Thanks to the creative mavericks at Root'd this dining room received a custom wall painting. What do you think of the results? I am beyond honored to have contributed my particular hand to this exciting project. I love creating custom paintings that are in complete harmony with a client's space. These tiny triptychs were made for a gorgeous remodel in one of Salt Lake City's most iconic neighborhoods: The Avenues. Quite often, I have privy to the space (in all it's beautiful chaos) during the construction/remodel process. I love this! I feel such a huge sense of honor and responsibility to get it right, and contribute my particular hand to a client's home sanctuary. One of my favorite painting installations of all time. This rockstar client purchased 6 of my original paintings for their stunning home in Kamas, Utah. By using loads of texture, sophisticated colors, and "bringing the outside in" with paintings made with locally sourced salt, sand and sawdust, these painting add, not compete with the breathtaking views of the vicinity. Truly, this is a home made a sanctuary. A huge thanks to Hudson Home Design for making this a reality, and for Kate Osborne Photography for the lovely installation shots. COMMISSION PAINTING SUCCESS! The moments before a client arrives at the studio to see their commissioned paintings for the first time are always filled with excitement. I am please to announce that the paintings are a PERFECT (her words, not mine) fit for their new Park City home. A third painting was also commissioned for above the master bed. When we first met, the client described my paintings as "zeny". I love that! I am thrilled to be the medium through which a client's creative vision can be expressed, and to contribute to some of the most beautiful and luxurious homes is Park City. From left to right: "Tell The Truth" & "Love Everyone". New painting! A large-scale commission painting for a very special client. The client saw a small painting I posted to Instagram, and commissioned me to paint a similar, much larger rendition. The new moon comes early for me this month! A reminder, and an invitation to set deliberate intentions; sowing them just like the way we would sow seeds in a garden. Nurturing, trusting and allowing the process to eventually sprout, root and grow. Painting a commissioned painting is both an honor and a privilege . I delight in creating a custom piece tailor made to suit a client's home. I begin the process with gratitude and I get really, really excited about the blank canvas. It's full of infinite possibility! I trust that the process will evolve effortlessly as a result of aligning myself with the creative flow. It's inevitable. We paint who we are. I am so excited about this large-scale commissioned painting! Navigating this surface today to find the balance and the beauty between areas of calm and distress, feels to me like a kind of moving mediation. Breathing, observing, allowing, embracing and letting go of what I think "should be" vs "what is". What do you think about this? When you merge with big talent, your work gets installed at the historic Imperial Hotel in Park City, Utah. This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
