MEDIUM: Mixed Media & gold pigment SIZE: 48" x 36" Contrasting stark white walls and opulent gold, this piece emerged from my studio in Glendale—a tight-knit, working-class neighborhood where homes stand as closely as the red bricks they're made of. Lawns double as parking extensions, front porches host couches, and the air resonates with mariachi music on hot summer nights.  Navigating immigration is undeniably challenging, and the prospect of moving to a new country can be quite daunting. However, I've found that achieving clarity in my message, connecting with like-minded individuals, and actively serving my community are integral steps toward not just surviving but thriving in this new landscape.

Collaborating with the children at Liberty Elementary in Ogden is truly delightful. We've creatively integrated organic materials into our textured paintings, drawing inspiration from nature. Special thanks to Boys & Girls Clubs of Weber Davis and Ogden Contemporary Arts for bringing this enriching arts program to our community. Blending vibrant colors harmoniously within the elegant interior, I intertwined cherished memories of their favorite Utah experience—the Stewart Falls hike—using organic materials for an evocative touch.
