Success in an art career is a deeply personal journey, with varying definitions for each artist. Nevertheless, there are 5 key indicators of achievement that I continually recalibrate my path toward:
TITLE: The Grand Chorus
MEDIUM: Mixed Media SIZE: 48" x 36" "The Grand Chorus" is my creation, a testament to the pursuit of depth. With a subtle yet striking red incision on canvas, it echoes the universal yearning for a richer life, increased freedom, and deeper connections. This piece pulsates with the intention to embrace our entirety, fostering self-acceptance, which in turn allows us to embrace others more completely. For a while now, I've had this lingering feeling that my days as an art teacher are limited. It's a vague notion, and I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's a sense of impending change, or perhaps it's just a fleeting thought that one day something unexpected might happen.
But then, on route to my latest workshop last weekend, something remarkable struck me: If I were to continue teaching, I envisioned creating a unique experience—a silent painting retreat. Press Feature!

For me, painting on the shores of the Great Salt Lake is the ultimate way to breathe life into my art. The lake's beauty fuels my colors, materials, and the very essence of my work.
