 Happy Thanksgiving
I’ve thought about what to say for several days leading up to today. My thoughts have included making a detailed list of all of the individuals & business who have contributed to my expansion over the past year. But the list was lengthy. Too lengthy! And perhaps, I thought, I am not reaching far back enough? Exhibition Review: The Illuminated Desert and Tommyknockers: Samantha DaSilva at Alpine Gallery11/2/2022
 It's impossible to see one's work objectively. Thank you 15 Bytes Utah Arts Magazine for the revelatory exhibition review. I had no idea what a "tommyknocker" was until I read the article. Here's an excerpt:
"Similarly, daSilva seems to have taken the bitterest and most arid and also the richest and most beautiful, glittering, ores of life, and has folded them into her canvases: explorations, hopes, sacrifices, even, for future luck."
