Commission Painting Inquiry
Commission painting is when you hire me to create a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork tailored to your ideas. Share your vision, and I’ll craft a piece that reflects your preferences and specifications.
Process
We begin with a conversation about color schemes, themes, and sources of inspiration. You can share blueprints, photos, fabric swatches, or details about existing artwork and furnishings. I recommend selecting one to three of my existing works as a starting point, or choosing one of my pieces to be created to your specifications. This collaborative approach ensures the final piece harmonizes with your aesthetic. For a deeper personal touch, you may include meaningful items such as sand from a favorite location or soil from a special place. You’ll receive updates throughout, provide feedback, and approve the piece before it’s finished.
While I can't paint an exact copy or a perfect twin of any of my works, I ensure the new piece will belong to the same family so it feels related yet wholly original.
Cost
A 50% non-refundable deposit is collected to commence the project, with the remaining 50% due upon completion. Transportation and installation are handled by a third party and are an additional cost.
Timeline
Typically 3–6 weeks, or as otherwise agreed.
Memorial Paintings
If you’re commemorating a loved one, I offer the option to incorporate cremated remains into memorial paintings. This meaningful process allows you to transform loss into art, with you in full control over canvas size, color choices, and the inclusion of cremains to create a fitting tribute.
