 In spite of all the changes and uncertianties taking place all around us - one thing is clear: art is a catalyst for growth. Art allows an outlet for inner reflection, fosters new ways of thinking, and encourages compassion and connection.  Join me and a host of talented creatives for the Holliday Group Show at 15th Street Gallery on November 20th. I am thrilled to reveal my new series of paintings.
 "I feel like I am walking on the surface of one of my paintings: the vast pools of salt, the crunching of bones beneath my feet, the near-solid foam on the beach, and the brine flies moving in tandem in a frenzied body of unified color. For me, there is no better way to pay homage to the sacred land we thread upon, than to infuse the environment into my work namely: iron-rich Utah dirt, salt for the Great Salt Lake, copper power, plaster, repurposed paint, and local newspapers. I am inspired by nature's pairings of texture, color combinations, and the way that it uses water to cut, carve, blend, build, feed and destroy." I am honored that one of my paintings was selected to participate in this iconic juried exhibition. Through artistic expression, we enhance our capacity to build awareness about our environment and our need to preserve and protect it for the future.
