A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who raised a glass (or two!) during last night's STUDIO GRAND OPENING celebration. Your presence, friendship, well wishes, and generosity brought tears of gratitude to my eyes. Thank you for infusing your "good vibes" into my new space.
Over the past six months, I've often felt like a tender, little transplant in my new environment. Thank you for helping me find my "roots" in this new soil.
The best part? It's impossible to pick just one: seeing my 5 nieces and nephews from Canada for the first time in 3 years (living in Hawaii certainly had it's perks, but it also had it's sacrifices), fresh flower arrangements made lovingly by my aunt, giving my mentor a big hug for his contribution in helping me get to where I am, a proud smile from mom and dad, love notes on the chalkboard, decadent desert made from scratch by my consistently supportive husband, and so many smiles and embraces (I'm a hugger!) from old and new friends.
This blog was created to share my belief that the art making process can be a vehicle for empowerment.
I am living proof.
