This series emerged as a way to connect with and honor my late father's Brazilian gaucho heritage. Using animal hides as the central medium, I delve into themes of spirituality, home, and belonging. From the symbolic representation of materialism in "The Golden Calf" to the embodiment of nonconformity in "The Black Sheep," each sculpture weaves metaphorical layers into the ongoing narrative of my work. "The Lamb of God" embodies innocence, while "The Bronze Serpent" draws inspiration from biblical symbolism, signifying healing. By exploring these narratives, my intention is for the art to prompt viewers to reflect on their own stories and discover a profound connection within the intricate threads of our shared existence.
