Just before Christmas, I had the privilege and the opportunity to finish a very large commission painting (8 feet x 5 feet) for a very special family in Park City, Utah. Since we've just moved to the city, I did not have enough time to procure a new studio space. Rather than admit defeat, I decided to turn one of the rooms in our home into a makeshift studio. Dexter would have been proud. ;)
In the end, the clients were able to spend Christmas with their new painting, and I was able to do what I love and share it. Here is the moral of the story: Where there's a will, there's a way. Don't wait until tomorrow to do what you love. Don't wait until the ideal situation to come along. Begin today.
This blog was created to share my belief that the art making process can be a vehicle for empowerment.
I am living proof.
