In a harmonious relationship with your canvas there is no "good", "bad", "right", "wrong", "beautiful", and "ugly". There is simply present moment experience, communion with Source, and experiencing bliss. In Hinduism, this is called Satchitananda. Moving beyond duality towards oneness. Painting is an opportunity to see the canvas as your mirror and magnify love for yourself. Using Costa Rican red dirt as a drawing medium, I inscribed the Hoʻoponopono "mantra" on the canvas surface before I took it into the ocean with me:
I love you I'm sorry Please forgive me Thank you The painting experience is a process of self-discovery, personal empowerment and transformation. The painting process helps you to grow because on a canvas you have to make decisions: You are to say "yes", and you are to say "no'. The more you can navigate those decisions with kindness, empathy and self-love, the more you will see these attitudes reflected back to you. Comments are closed.

This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
