In this body of work, I explore place, home, belonging, immigration, and the passage of time. These paintings serve as quiet tools for orientation—personal maps drawn from the environments that shaped them. They offer an alternative way of grounding oneself in new surroundings, inviting reflection on the layered complexities of identity and the eternal search for belonging.
Many canvases shimmer with golden powders—an intentional alchemy that illuminates the surface like halos around saints. Painting becomes transmutation: ordinary matter turned sacred, rupture into radiance, the depths rising into light.
