There are no seashells to gather along these shores. Only dry bones, bleached stark white by the scorching sun. I haven't travelled much, but I have travelled. I guess it all depends on who you compare yourself to. Antelope Island is truly one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. Aside from it's sprawling beauty, there is an energy here that is hard to describe. Suffice it to say that for me, this is a spiritual place.
This is how I want my paintings to look and feel: Ethereal, other-worldly, peaceful, emotive, effortless and vast. I am inspired by nature's texture pairings, color combinations, and the way it uses water to cut, carve, blend, build, feed and destroy.
