MEMORIAL PAINTINGS

Celebrate the life of a loved one by commissioning a Memorial Painting made by incorporating cremation ashes (cremains) or other meaningful items into the work.

Note from the artist:

Sometimes the work chooses you. Making the decision to create Memorial Paintings with cremation ashes feels like the work I was always intended to do. Although I have thought about creating this kind of work for years, I resisted the call. It wasn't until my father's sudden and unexpected death in 2020 that I became aligned with this purpose completely.

It is my heartfelt intention for you to receive a painting that deeply honors the memory of the one you love for years to come.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Inspiration

Choose a painting or two that you love from my website. Although I cannot paint exactly the same painting twice, I can paint something "in the same family". Communicate with me why you love the painting(s) you chose. What is your preferred color palette? Would you like any metallic elements added to your painting? Do you like lots of texture or a minimal amount? Are there any personal items you would like for me to infuse into the work? For example; Soil from a plot of land, sand from a favorite beach, etc.

2. Space

Tell me about your space. Where will this painting reside? Feel free to share photos of the room where you'll hang the work, furniture that you want the art to match, or existing art that you already own.

3.  Dimensions

What is your preferred size for the painting? Sizes are completely customizable.

4. Timeline

What is your preferred time line for the completion of this project? On average, Commission Paintings take approximately 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, unless otherwise agreed upon.

5. Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit will be collected to commence work. Receive a personalized confirmation email directly from me within 24 hrs. The remaining 50% will be collected once the painting is completed.

6. Mail Ashes

Please send the ashes using the method outlined in your confirmation email.

7. Check-In & Approval

It is imperative that you are absolutely pleased with your new commissioned painting. In order to achieve this, I will provide periodic updates including photos & videos for you to check the progress of the work. Don't worry! If there is anything you want changed or added, we can accomplish this together. My feeling about commissions is that they are collaborations - I will not be offended if you want something changed. You approve the final work before it is shipped.

8. Shipping & Receiving

The painting is shipped directly to you. Please note shipping costs will be billed to you once the painting has been shipped. Enjoy your one-of-a-kind, custom commissioned painting for years to come.
