Fearless Abstract Painting w/ Metallics

4/11/2022

2-days of (SOLD OUT) Fearless Abstract Painting w/Metallics is complete! Most of the time, I feel like I am treading water. These workshops feel like entering a deep, vast ocean to float. I feel supported by something much bigger than myself.

I used to teach these workshops from an ego place: “I hope everyone will like me!”. Now I know this is a limited point of view. Rather than fixating on being careful to say the "right thing" & not the "wrong thing", I align myself with Source Creativity & become an instrument to elevate & inspire others without allowing my insecurities to get in the way.
Workshop Highlight: Painting is like a Great Big Buffet. How do you know what you will put on your empty plate / blank canvas? Well, it depends what you’re hungry for! Colors, textures & techniques are all different “foods” to try. Some “food” combinations go better together than others. Some combinations are gross, others are more harmonious. In truth, there is something for everyone & no plate / canvas should be exactly the same as someone else’s.

Some people are allergic to certain foods - my disdain for paintings that look “crafty” is a good example. How do you know when your painting is finished? Turns out, it’s a lot like knowing when you’re full. Tune in with your body. It will tell you when your appetite has been satiated. Be careful not to overeat / overpaint. You'll just make yourself sick.
