A gallery partnership is a lot like a marriage. You get back what you put in. There are many ways to navigate a relationship with a gallery, but my most honest advice is this: treat it with the same care you would a marriage. Alignment, commitment, honesty, trust, collaboration, and a little fun all matter. When the fit is right, you become stronger together. You show up fully for one another — and in return, the relationship often gives back far more than expected. Looking back on three years with Gallery MAR, I’m especially grateful for the moments that have defined this chapter: Experiences & Connection Fearless Abstract Painting workshops with Marcella, the As We Give, We Receive retreat in Tulum, and a Santa Fe Art Tour with collectors and Gallery MAR’s Leslie Wright, visiting studios of artists represented by the gallery. Exhibitions & Projects A two-person exhibition with Havoc Hendrix, a private collector event curated and installed by Maren, corporate commissions including works in the HELIX building at University of Utah Health, and special projects such as a hand-painted paddle and bespoke painted Uggs and Birkenstocks. Milestones The launch of my book Fearless Artistry: A Journey from Doubt to Creative Liberation, a feature in Park City Magazine’s Luxe List, and the ongoing support of Gallery MAR’s blog and newsletters. Beyond the professional highlights, the greatest gift has been the friendships that have grown with Maren, the Gallery MAR team, and the collectors who have become part of this extended community. These relationships reach far beyond the gallery walls and have given me a lasting sense of belonging, reciprocity, and joy.
Here’s to the next chapter — including a curated two-person exhibition in January 2027 — with gratitude and continued collaboration. Comments are closed.
