What are you hungry for?
A blank canvas can be a lot like an empty plate. What you choose to put on your plate/canvas depends a lot on what you like and how hungry you are. Some food/color/texture combinations work better than others. Some combinations can make you downright sick! Knowing what works well for you and your "body of work" is a blend of experience and intuition. The more you know yourself, the better your results will be. My artistic journey across the world has been an odyssey of discovery, exploring the diverse landscapes and cultures that shape our existence. Each destination left an indelible mark on my canvases, portraying the profound connection between me and my environment. Through these unconventional methods, I hope my art inspires others to celebrate the beauty of our world and cherish the interplay between nature and human creativity. The world is a storehouse of inspiration, waiting to be embraced by the artist within us all.
Finding orientation, stability & grounding in the four directions:
East: Air, breath & inspiration South: Fire, transformation & action West: Water, feeling & reflection North: Earth, balance & wisdom Commissioned paintings infused with Hawaiian seashells to serve as "windows to a happier place". My dear friend is undergoing a score of medical procedures. When she commissioned me to paint her 2 paintings with her favorite colors, I was thrilled. I hope they serve as a welcome refuge for years to come.
