All this time I've been going about it the wrong way: changing my outward circumstances instead of finding peace and safety within myself. Tonight's Gallery Stroll at 15th Street Gallery was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic Nevertheless, the show is up and it's beautiful!
You paint who you are. The attitude you take inside the studio reflects your attitude outside of the studio. And vice versa. The energy we infuse into our paintings is real, and others can feel it when they experience our work. Painting “fearless” is the best way I know to make work that is meaningful, sustainable, fresh, magnetic, beautiful and inspiring. “Calibrating your creative compass” simply means periodically taking the time to check in with yourself to make sure you are on the right track. The following 6 questions are designed to help you identify your motivations and how they influence your creative process. I am trilled for the opportunity to share my "fearless" abstract painting philosophies & techniques with this amazing new group at the University of Utah. The excitement in the air was palpable! Join me on March 28 & 29 for 2-days of Fearless Abstract Painting w/ Metallic paints, powders & gold leaf. This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
