The best part? Not a single student in these paintings (no, not even the tie dye) had any idea how much their clothing imitated their canvas until I said something. I've also had the good fortune of witnessing two friends painting side by side, paint what each other was wearing.
Whether it's a colour, a combination of colors, a design or pattern, what we wear tends to end up on our canvas wether we know it or not.
Is this due in part by the power of suggestion and influence? Or perhaps it's because our favorite colors to wear are also our favorite colors to paint with.
