There are parts of my life that feel too sacred to share on line—my romantic partnership, my family, and my heartbreak, especially. That’s why I’ve hesitated to speak publicly about this community. For almost a year now, I’ve been showing up to the gatherings at City Home Collective, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative.
Under the fearless, loving guidance of Cody Derrick, I’ve finally tasted the kind of belonging and acceptance I used to only dream about. Through weekly yoga, qigong, and meditation circles, I’ve forged connections—with others and, even more powerfully, with myself—that have completely reshaped my creative practice, my life, and the way I understand my own gifts. This Chinese Year of the Snake has been one of the hardest of my life… and also the sweetest. Whatever darkness and despair I’ve walked through, I’ve met with an equal measure of love—boundless, unconditional—and a surge of creativity I never knew I had in me. To everyone at City Home Collective: thank you. Thank you for doing your own deep work so that you can hold a space that feels unmistakably safe, overflowing with love, joy, and beauty. I’m forever changed because of you. It's good to be home. https://cityhomecollective.com/ Comments are closed.

This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
