In 2008, after a decade of barely creating anything, I hit a low point. My marriage ended, I was stuck in an unfulfilling job at a law firm, and I was neglecting my health—smoking, over-exercising, starving myself, battling depression and anxiety. Desperate for change, I worked with a life coach https://www.jesslarsen.net/ who encouraged me to dream big. I visualized a life where I was a happy, successful artist—full-time, thriving, and surrounded by a spacious studio filled with blank canvases. I imagined traveling, buying shoes, sharing my passion on stage, writing a book, and even finding love.
This morning, I walked into my studio—and it looked exactly like the one I visualized 17 years ago. Back then, I was painting in a closet, dreaming of selling my work and teaching workshops. Today, I live that dream. This is your reminder: be specific about where you want to go. Use your mind like a GPS—uncover the exact coordinates of your dreams. Then, do the work, stay inspired, be generous, and never give up. Your dream life is within reach. All it takes is clarity and action. Comments are closed.

This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
