What happens when you leave a canvas outside for an entire year?
Well, let's find out!
September 2012 Let the games begin!
Sometime between September 2012 and April 2013
There you have it. A year in the life of a canvas left outside.
The kids were besides themselves with excitement:
"What if a moose stepped on it?"
"What it a skunk sprayed it?"
"What if there are spider webs on it? And bugs!"
And the one that seemed to cause them the most concern:
"What if it's not there?"
At one point, my little mini-me ran away in terror thinking full well she was going to be sprayed by a skunk.
You may wonder what my plans are for my "weathered" canvas. I have no idea. First I have to clean the caked-on mud stuck to the back of it. Then perhaps I will varnish it. Tiny leaves and all. Then maybe I will hang it on my wall. I'll take a picture of it for you, I promise.
This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and
I am living proof.
