You are stronger than you think you are.
You are more capable than you believe. You are more powerful than you can possibly know. The same force that moves the planets, grows the trees, and beats your heart is alive within you. You are not separate from this force. You are an expression of it. When you align yourself with this truth, when you remember your connection to the infinite, miraculous things begin to happen. Doors open that you didn’t even know existed. Opportunities appear as if from nowhere. People come into your life at exactly the right time with exactly what you need. Synchronicities multiply. Life begins to flow with an ease and a grace that amazes you. Wayne D. As We Give, We Receive — a retreat curated by gallery owner Maren Mullin Brilliant. Instead of leaning on one or two instructors, we all stepped forward to share our gifts. A new retreat paradigm emerged: yoga, journaling, Your Authentic Self, Fearless Painting, Feng Shui, a silent breakfast, a mangrove visit, resilience musings, Mayan clay meditation, photography, a white dinner, ecstatic dance, and so much more. I’m so grateful for the incredible women who showed up to give and to receive. The memories we crafted and the transformations we witnessed feel lasting and luminous—truly lifelong. My first standing ovation! After 17 years of teaching, this moment moved me to tears in the best possible way. The spontaneous, heartfelt appreciation from everyone in the room filled me with so much joy and gratitude. What we created in the span of our time together felt nothing short of magic. Thank you to each person who participated, contributed, and helped make this experience so meaningful and successful. A heartfelt shout-out to Workshop SLC for supporting local artists and making opportunities like this possible for all of us.
All this to catch your eye and invite you to join me for these upcoming events:

After 17 years as an artist and educator, I’m humbled that my workshops still sell out—and that they continue to empower students to trust their process. Fearless abstract painting changed my life, and I’ve devoted myself to practicing it daily. It’s 50% unorthodox technique, 50% philosophy. Techniques matter, but so do the structure and clarity we bring to our thoughts and feelings—so we can grow to our full potential. There’s one spot left for my Fearless Metallics workshop on September 20-21 at Workshop SLC. We’ll explore metallic paints, powders, and gold leaf to create abstractions that honor process over outcome. Join us and unleash your fearless voice. Kicking off with a sold-out, Fearless Abstract Painting workshop — thank you all for your incredible support. Can’t wait to create and inspire together again.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on Instagram’s role in our lives. I see it as a powerful tool—to share my work and connect with others—but I also recognize its potential downsides. As a sensitive creator, I’ve established some personal guidelines to use Instagram intentionally and avoid its pitfalls. I hope these inspire you to do the same.
My Book!
I’m thrilled to share that my book, Fearless Artistry: A Journey from Doubt to Creative Liberation, is now off to the editor for a final review! I’m feeling a wonderful mix of excitement and anticipation as I see this project nearing completion. Writing a book is no small feat. For me, this journey began 7 years ago. It’s been a deeply rewarding, sometimes challenging process full of setbacks, breakthroughs, and growth. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me along the way—your encouragement has meant the world. I can’t wait to share it with you once it’s printed. My sincere hope is that the lessons I’ve learned over the past 17 years as a full-time professional artist will inspire and uplift everyone who reads it. Here’s to embracing fearlessness and unlocking our true creative potential. Grateful to continue building meaningful connections and empowering our community through collaborative workshops.
