As I write this, I am aboard a flight to Cancun.
I can hardly remember the last time I saw the beach…
Was it Cuba? No, that was back in 2010. Oh I know! It was Hawaii in 2011! Needless to say, I am beyond excited to dig my newly shellacked toes into the sand.
Last night I taught the last of a 6-part fearless abstract painting class. We celebrated with homemade sangria, Prosecco and a potluck of delicious treats.
What a group! Together we were 10 strong: Lively, often irreverent and eager to dig deep and learn what it takes to become an artist without fear.
I’ve come to realize that Fearless Abstract Painting is so much more than just a painting class: It is as superficial or as deep as you make it. Often, it can be a subtle but powerful catalyst for change, transition and growth. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at some of my student testimonials.
With a student contact list numbering in the thousands, I can attest to the power of this painting method.
Although I can’t help to feel good about myself when students thank me for the positive impact I have had on their lives, I do not attribute any celebratory feelings to my own doing: I owe it all to the process.
I like to think of myself as a messenger: The process was revealed to me and my role is to share it.
Join me and discover for yourself the abstract painting movement that has the power to captivated and transform lives.
But be warned, you might find that it may "unearth" more than you expected.
This blog was created to share my belief that the art making process can be a vehicle for empowerment.
I am living proof.
