Ten years ago, I found myself newly divorced, living back with my parents, out of work on an extended medical leave, and face to face with the terrifying realization that the life I had created up until that point, was one that I did not enjoy living.
Early in my career, I was met with conflicting advice from two of my favorite instructors concerning whether or not I should paint the sides of my canvas.
There are many reasons why a painting is (dare I say) the most important element in interior decorating. Paintings provide an instant color palette, create a focal point, bring a sense of texture, and make the room appear finished. But perhaps my favorite reason is this: The painting you chose tells a story about who you are.

When I first arrived in Hawaii, I was quick to realize that the Moon & Turtle was my favorite restaurant in Hilo both for it's delicious local cuisine and modern ambience. I am beyond excited and honoured to announce my first solo exhibition in Hawaii at the Moon & Turtle starting December 4th.
