Halloween remains one of my favorite North American rituals—handing out treats, marveling at tiny superheroes and ghosts, and slipping into costumes that let another side of me breathe. Immensely grateful for visionaries like Jean Paul Gaultier whose creations ignite new facets of identity. Shoutout to make up artist Rocket Girl for bringing my vision to life! “New Moon: Veil of Possibilities” Mixed media on canvas, 24” × 18” A nocturnal shroud where mystery and mischief meet. "Your Art will follow a series of archetypes. You will begin dry descending symbolically into the underworld and give voice and shape to the demons and fear frequencies that live there. As you allow your frequency to rise further, your demons will gradually reveal their hidden nature. The light will emerge from inside them and frogs will become princes. All true art is alchemical. Artistic process that does not release the inner light is simply the art of the shadow consciousness finding its way into imagination. As long as you are courageous and honest, your expression will continue to evolve naturally to the higher frequencies. Eventually, we will all end up painting angels!" The Gene Keys, Richard Rudd
Breath of Angels, mixed media on canvas, 16" x 12" “I release my parents from the feeling that they have already failed me.
I release my children from the need to bring pride to me; that they may write their own ways according to their hearts, that whisper all the time in their ears. I release my partner from the obligation to complete myself. I do not lack anything, I learn with all beings all the time. I thank my grandparents and forefathers who have gathered so that I can breathe life today. I release them from past failures and unfulfilled desires, aware that they have done their best to resolve their situations within the consciousness they had at that moment. I honor you, I love you and I recognize you as innocent. I am transparent before your eyes, so they know that I do not hide or owe anything other than being true to myself and to my very existence, that walking with the wisdom of the heart, I am aware that I fulfill my life project, free from invisible and visible family loyalties that might disturb my Peace and Happiness, which are my only responsibilities. I renounce the role of savior, of being one who unites or fulfills the expectations of others. Learning through, and only through, love, I bless my essence, my way of expressing, even though somebody may not understand me. I understand myself, because I alone have lived and experienced my history; because I know myself, I know who I am, what I feel, what I do and why I do it. I respect and approve of myself. I honor the Divinity in me and in you. We are free.” Anonymous Celestial Veil, a 30” x 48” sculptural tribute to Mother Nature, blends the azure of a boundless sky with the warm yellow ochre of Utah’s earth. Crafted with locally sourced materials, this piece captures the dance of Mother Earth and Father Sky.
The Golden Calf, a 20” x 16” tribute to my late father’s Brazilian gaucho roots, weaves cowhide and gold pigment on wood. A meditation on heritage and what we choose to worship.
At the heart of my mandala, surrounded by paintings infused with mindful intention. Crafted with Red Utah earth, wind-dried strokes, fire-forged charcoal, and crystalline salt from ancient lakes, these talismans of earth, wind, fire, and water bring harmony and peace, offering a calming respite in our fast-paced world.
You are stronger than you think you are.
You are more capable than you believe. You are more powerful than you can possibly know. The same force that moves the planets, grows the trees, and beats your heart is alive within you. You are not separate from this force. You are an expression of it. When you align yourself with this truth, when you remember your connection to the infinite, miraculous things begin to happen. Doors open that you didn’t even know existed. Opportunities appear as if from nowhere. People come into your life at exactly the right time with exactly what you need. Synchronicities multiply. Life begins to flow with an ease and a grace that amazes you. Wayne D. Deeply honored to have my work, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, selected for the prestigious 39th Spiritual & Religious Art of Utah exhibition at the Springville Museum of Art. With nearly 900 entries and only a 25% acceptance rate, this year’s show is one of the most competitive yet, and I’m thrilled to be part of it. My piece is a meditative reflection on the power of what we choose to see, hear, and say—inviting viewers to pause and connect with their inner truth. Join me in celebrating the transformative beauty of art and spirituality. Drop by the museum to experience the exhibit, and let’s spark a conversation: What inspires YOUR soul?
