A 3-day painting binge to kick off the start of a commissioned painting triptych.
Remember the canvas I left outside to be "painted by the elements"? You can read all about how it began here and here. My little niece won't let me forget. Last night she made me "pinky promise" (not a contract to be entered into lightly) to come back and unbury the canvas we left outside back in September 2012. She remembered exactly where we had left it, even though the landscape has changed dramatically. For my own benefit, we placed a flag to mark the spot.
Friday night's show began wrapping up at midnight. Needless to say, Saturday morning came early. Very early.
A sold out class called New Tricks for Texture at The Calgary School of Art. Once I was there, I felt a surge of energy and excitement as a result of doing what I love to do.
This blog was created to share my belief that the art-making process is a catalyst for transformation and personal empowerment. I am living proof.
