2025 Echoes of Change
In the series "Echoes of Change," I explore the profound impact of transformation—both personal and environmental—through a collection of dynamic artworks created in Utah. The Earth speaks to us all the time, and for those attuned to listen, it is akin to experiencing an orchestra. Drawing from my experiences of migration and adaptation, each piece serves as a visual narrative that invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys.
Utilizing locally sourced materials like earth, sand, and organic pigments, I create textures that embody the physicality of change. This process honors my incarnation and the sacred land of Utah that supports me, allowing the environment to inform my work. I am particularly interested in creating during a flow state, where, as the Tao Te Ching suggests, the athlete becomes so immersed in the act of doing that the dancer and the dance become indistinguishable.
“Echoes of Change" celebrates the act of channeling and transforming emotions, fostering collective reflection on the echoes that resonate through our lives and connecting us in an ever-evolving world. In moments of pain and joy, I find solace in painting, allowing the creative process to guide me toward healing and insight.
