2013 – After Paris
2013 – After Paris
My love affair with Paris began long before I arrived — and the city exceeded every dream, revealing deeper layers of magic.
Its colors live in my bones: gold, warm grays, Payne’s gray, sepia, parchment, rose, Van Dyke brown, and titanium white. The essence of Paris feels quiet, self-reflective, and introverted — white, gold, and silver bleeding into one another like the chill before rain and the sudden warmth of sun breaking through clouds.
This series explores love and longing — both fulfilled and unrequited — wrapped in lingering softness. Through these paintings, I invite the viewer to feel Paris’s profound emotional landscape: a city that continues to inspire, heal, and quietly transform.
