2012 – Anthropologie
This series marks a quantum leap in my artistic journey.
From my tiny high-rise apartment overlooking downtown Calgary, I finally began creating the work I felt I was always meant to make. I dug beneath the surface, exploring the depths of the inner self — where scars become the very things that make us uniquely beautiful.
Inspired by rust, peeling paint, abandoned buildings, ripped jeans, and the quiet grace found in decay, these works celebrate life’s intricate layers and the rich stories etched into our identities.
Through them, I invite the viewer to embrace imperfection as profound beauty.
