Wether it's a textured roller, semi-precious stones or a DIY drying rack, my students are constantly coming up with good ideas. Do you have any great ideas you would like to share?
1. Double Bag Your Paints When Traveling
When I came home from Paris, this is what I found inside my suitcase. Lucky for me, the spill had been contained thanks to Ziploc bags. Next time, I will skip the fluid paints altogether.
2. DIY Palette
Cover a dish plate with saran wrap to make an impromptu paint palette.
For different texture effects, try a textured roller like this one or simply tie several elastic bands around a regular foam roller to make your own.
4. Semi-Precious Gems
Adhere semi-precious stones to your canvas for unusual texture results.
5. Shredded Paper
Glue shredded paper to the canvas for more unusual texture making.
6. Make Your Own Dispenser
Use an elastic band to tie a piece of pantyhose to the mouth of a metallic powder container. Enjoy being able to control how much actually comes out.
7. DIY Drying Rack
Modify plastic storage shelves to make your own drying rack.
8. Easy Storage
Use paper clips as shown to hang your paint tubes.
This blog was created to share my belief that the art making process can be a vehicle for empowerment.
I am living proof.
