Notice how both of these paintings are almost exact replicas of the artists' shirts?!
We thought this was hilarious! You would not believe how often this happens!

This morning I was greeted by heartfelt thank you's and hugs from several of my students for sharing my techniques and creative process. Man I LOVE my job! This wouldn't be possible without them. It's their collective enthusiasm, fearlessness and trust that makes our time together so rewarding.
Coincidence? You decide... Three of my students confessed to sleeping better than they have in a long time after yesterday's class. I either worked them too hard (I doubt this!) or indulging in the creative process released endorphins! I bet on the latter!
We are quickly running out of floor space. The studio is covered with canvasses. What I find interesting is that today one of the students actually said that she feels like the 24" x 36" canvasses we have been working on have shrunk! What she used to find intimidating, she now finds too small! I was so excited to see several of my students bring in large canvasses. There is something about this particular way of painting that is so conducive to big scale canvasses. I was floored when a student walked in carrying a canvas larger than mine! Awesome!
